Palermo toasts in the square with "Beer Bubbles": over two hundred craft beers available for tasting
Twenty-four breweries, over two hundred craft labels to discover, ten spots dedicated to excellent street food, plus talks, cooking demonstrations, and musical entertainment. Palermo transforms into the capital of craft beer with the highly anticipated tenth edition of Beer Bubbles.
One of the most beloved and eagerly awaited events among the Palermo public and the many tourists who flock to the Sicilian capital this early summer has officially begun. From Thursday, June 11th to Sunday, June 14th, 2026, the beating heart of Palermo—the monumental area between Piazza Castelnuovo and Piazza Ruggero Settimo, in the shadow of the majestic Teatro Politeama—will be transformed into a vast open-air tasting hall to celebrate the prestigious milestone of the tenth edition of Beer Bubbles.
Born as a gamble to showcase the then-emerging world of craft beer , the festival has grown exponentially year after year. Today, it represents an undisputed reference point not only for the most demanding enthusiasts and beer geeks, but also for a diverse audience of families, young people, the curious, and professionals in the retail and restaurant sectors.
A sensory journey through new releases and great classics
The strength of this special edition is undoubtedly the breadth of the offering. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore and taste over two hundred beer varieties, offered by 24 carefully selected craft breweries . The festival's taps will feature beers ranging from historic European brewing traditions to more modern, hoppy experiments.
This year's truly exciting event is the participation, for the first time in Palermo, of several breweries that are new to the local scene. These new ventures will bring completely different production languages, business philosophies, and approaches to identity to the heart of Sicily, enriching an already highly stimulating cultural and flavorful debate.
Not just beer: food, talks, and entertainment
To perfectly complement the tastings, the festival features ten excellent food outlets and the presence of leading companies in the agri-food and spirits sectors. The gastronomic journey is designed to highlight food and beer pairings, offering quality reinterpretations of Sicilian street food and top-quality local ingredients.
Piazza Castelnuovo and Piazza Ruggero Settimo will not only be the backdrop for toasts and tastings, but also true spaces for socializing, learning, and entertainment. Beer Bubbles' rich program includes a packed schedule of themed talks, fascinating cooking demonstrations led by chefs and experts, as well as plenty of live music and DJ sets that will liven up Palermo's evenings from 4:00 PM until late at night (1:00 AM).
The initiative's high institutional and economic value is confirmed by the prestigious sponsorships it has received: the event is supported by the Municipality of Palermo (Department of Culture, Tourism, and Sport), the Metropolitan City of Palermo, the Regional Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Mediterranean Fisheries, and CNA Palermo. The project is also co-financed by the Sicilian Region - Department of Productive Activities, as part of the "Sicilia che piace".
